Get ready to dust off your imaginary armour and polish your swords! Medieval Mayhem is making a triumphant return to Monk Bretton Priory on May 17th and 18th, 2025, from 11 am to 4pm!

This isn't just any old history lesson, it's a full-blown medieval party right here in Barnsley! Picture knights clashing, jesters cracking jokes, and the echoes of medieval music filling the air. It's like stepping back in time.

This year promises to be the biggest and best yet! We're talking live knight battles that'll have you on the edge of your seat, plus medieval re-enactments, jesters, storytellers, and musicians. Feeling crafty? Get hands-on with cool demonstrations. Hungry? Food stalls will be selling tasty treats as well!

Medieval Mayhem is organised by the amazing volunteers at Jolly Good Communities. They are dedicated to making sure that the whole community can come together to enjoy local heritage.
So, how can you join the fun?
